Sister Stan Kennedy and Síle Wall are both members of the congregation of the Religious Sisters of Charity who cofounded the Sanctuary in 1998 to provide a reflective, meditative space in our busy world. Sr Stan is a well-known social campaigner and bestselling author. She founded a number of voluntary organisations, such as Focus Ireland, the Immigrant Council of Ireland and Young Social Innovators, while Síle’s background is in social work, community work and art therapy. Both have been practising and teaching meditation for many years at the Sanctuary.
